Dare to Care was founded in 1999 to address the pervasive and crippling impact that bullying and maltreatment has on our children and youth. In 2018, Dare to Care expanded to work with sport organziations in creating environments where all participants can thrive in life, learning, and play.
While conflict is a normal part of life, bullying and maltreatment is not and should never be tolerated in any environment. As a leader in the Safe Sport Movement, Dare to Care offers educational workshops for all stakeholders of a sport organization.
1) Athlete workshops - Age 7-8, Age 9-12, Age 12 and over
2) Parent workshops
3) Professional Development for Coaches and Management (NCCP accredited)*
4) Professional Development for Referees and Officials
*In the summer of 2023 Dare to Care became an official partner of the Coaches Association of Canada and their National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP). What does this mean? All coaches who attend a Dare to Care workshop are now eligible to receive 2-3 professional development points to go towards maintaining their coach certification.
